Undecided as to what works best on doors (French type) standard door.
In my opinion I believe you can do a shutter panel, a 2" blind with hold downs, or a cellular shade
The advantage to the shutter is that there is no swinging motion when opening and closing the door and you have the option of closing or opening louvers
The advantage of the 2" blind is that it is much cheaper than a shutter, however, there will be some swinging action when opening and closing the door - even though there will be hold down brackets at the bottom of the blind
The advantage of a cellular shade is that it is more energy efficient when down, if you do a cordless shade, there are no strings swinging and the stack of this shade is very small (usually about 3-4") which means you have a full view when in the up position
I would not recommend hold downs on this because it is a hassle to unhook them to raise the shade - I think it is easier to just leave it up (very little swing action with that small of a stack.
Hope this helps
